30 Day Declutter Challenge – August 2

By

I am usually pretty good with my magazines. I rarely have any over 2 months old. I love ripping out articles, putting them in my binders or sometimes using them in visual journaling (I don’t draw well yet, so I do a lot of tearing out pictures).

But, magazines we usually keep for about a year are the Consumer Reports and Reader’s Digest Magazines.

So today I cleaned out my living room end table and got rid of the old issues. I can’t believe how fast stuff piles up end tables.

I love the visual journaling. I’m a writer by nature, but sometimes I feel like words just don’t capture what I’m trying to convey. I tend to tear photos out of CD covers and use those in collages.

  2. I am loving to see what we are all decluttering! I have a struggle getting rid of magazines! lol. So I am sure that you will see more than a few magazines decluttered in my house! Enjoy the adventure. It sure feels good to see the progress!

  3. YAY Beth – I LOVE throwing out magazines :)

As you’ve seen, I’m decluttering handbags like crazy!!!

Today I tackled one of my son’s dresser drawers. We donated too small clothes and clothes we both agreed he wouldn’t ever wear. The second category was hard for me, because it meant my son was growing up and becoming his own person. I can no longer dress him as I see fit; he has opinions and preferences.

I would never have thought of that Sarah – cool!

Great job on the handbag decluttering Marcia! I actually had to get a new one because my old one didn’t fit my new phone. LOL

Klj – that’s a good thing, the whole point is that they grow up to be themselves :) You are doing fantastic!
