Health
ByI ran across this from my April 2003 newsletter and thought it was appropriate for now as well.
It’s springtime, a time when many of us start thinking about how we will look when we put on that swimsuit. Much of the time when we think health, we think weight loss. But, there is so much more to it then that.
Health is…
Good sleep
Deep breathing
Exercise
Life-enriching foods
Intellectual activity
Less TV, more music
Light
Watching stress and worry
Steam to help my breathing
More calcium and fruit and veggies
Less junk food
Relaxation
Body awareness- am I hungry, tired, stuffy, etc.
Laughter and smiles
Healthy relationships
Quiet time
Water
Vitamins
Nature
Good environment to live in
Breaks
How is your health? What is your body telling you? Try taking one weekend this month to focus on your health. Maybe go to a class, visit the grocery store for fresh fruits and vegetables or practice relaxation. Give yourself a mini health retreat. Sometimes I like to look online for health retreats and use some of the health spas schedules to make my own. Like Canyon Ranch: http://www.canyonranch.com/resorts/tucson-planner.aspx#weekAtTucsonAfter your health retreat decide on what changes in your health need to be made. Pick just one change and start to work on it.
Take Action:
My health retreat will be:
What I learned:
What changes need to be made?
What one change will I begin with?
Take one change at a time and you will continue to get healthier!
