One on one time

By

One of the best things about living a simpler life, is more time to be with the people you love. This weekend my son spent time with a friend so I had one-on-one time with my 12 year old daughter. The sun was out after a week of winter snow storms.

We played Life, Sudoku, Uno and Boggle. We went on a walk, taking my mother-in-law and seeing the sandpipers out. The next day we did some cooking together, went on a long bike ride, explored a wetland area and later we took a family drive with the moon roof open to pick up my son.

Sure my to do list is too long still, but does a weekend of fun really change that? I feel relaxed and my daughter and I were able to have connecting time together. I had an appointment to be at Sat morning and Sun night. Other than that our time was free.

I’ll bet you can carve out some one-on-one time or family fun some time next weekend.
