Spending Fast – 17/18

By

Saturday we took an inexpensive, but delicious corn casserole for a potluck.

For fun later we took a hike at a new place and played some tennis.

Today we prepared our grocery list based on what was on sale and used coupons. We saved $67.00 between getting sale prices and using the coupons. The store was having a 1/2 price sale on a bunch of things.

Tonight I had Bible study, my son had a youth group party, my daughter was at Grandma’s and my husband was at his friend’s house.

My son and I just finished watching a James Bond movie we had on DVD and ate some microwave popcorn.

Did you have a good weekend?

Thanks, Beth, for the link to the site with the tips on changing our thinking about our money. Some of those things I do already; others put a good spin on things – like “naming” your money.

I had a good weekend. Shopping on Saturday – only extra was a candy bar on sale. I paid a bill online and have another one to pay this evening. As I walked down the main street of the city where I work today, I had a little extra time before the next train home, so I had several thoughts of ducking in here or there to buy something. But I didn’t! I did buy a few “needs” at the drugstore but didn’t buy any of the skin care products I had in mind. Decided instead to check at home first and use up any leftovers I might have before buying new.

I still haven’t been to the garden store – will probably go this weekend.

Hope this post comes through! I wrote quite a long one a few days ago that got lost in cyberspace.
