Spending Fast – Day 31

By

The last day of May we drove to the other side of the state, paying over $4 a gallon. But, that was all we spent. We enjoyed my cousin’s wedding. It was beautiful and they seem so good together. My sister, daughter and I were dancing up a storm.

What I learned from this year’s spending fast:

  • Shopping less often is important
  • A day of shopping leads to more shopping
  • I have enough of just about everything
  • I think I have developed the habit of questioning before I buy now

Joan posted fantastic suggestions from what she learned on her spending fast:

I’m still learning! One thought I’m taking with me into the new month is the idea of thinking of even the smallest of purchases as being part of the big picture, or, as one person suggested, giving your money a name.

Thanks, Beth, for the great ideas and for giving us a place to exchange our ideas and experiences!

Great thoughts Michelle. Right – even if it’s little those small purchases add up to a good chunk of change.
