FOR TODAY Nov. 17, 08…

Outside My Window… Orange berries on a bare tree on a background of white snow, black squirrels and red winged blackbirds at the bird feeders

I am thinking… of the quote, “The art of art, the glory of expression and the sunshine of light of letters is simplicity.”

I am thankful for…  rising early, a call from my sister, getting together with friends

From the kitchen… a perfectly ripe pear, white cheddar cheese and cinnamon toast for breakfast

I am wearing… a royal blue sweater with a brown silky tank top underneath, jeans, brown beaded earrings

I am creating…  week three of the simple holiday plan

I am going… to stay in on this chilly, snowy day

I am reading… Twilight at my daughter’s recommendation before the movie comes out

I am hoping… I can relax as I work today

I am hearing… cars going through snow, my computer humming louder than usual, and I was listening to Gregorian Chant earlier today

Around the house… finished all the Thanksgiving cards so they are laying out until I send them

One of my favorite things… listening to my daughter’s chatter

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: getting a massage, going to a new scrapbook meeting in town, reading, mentoring, teaching Sunday School

We are having steady snow flurries here. Nothing sticking as of yet. But starting to see white on the truck. I’m really not ready for this yet but here we go! Have a great week.
