Weekly Simplicity Tips

By
I did my fall planning for this weekend for the next three months. I enjoy infusing my planning with ideas for fun like going to the Air Zoo, playing croquet and picture taking time with my daughter.

  1. List different lunch ideas on the fridge door or inside a cabinet.
  2. Figure out a daily routine for the next season that will work for you and your family.
  3. Get caught up on your mail pile while watching some TV.
  4. Set up or reorganize your launch pad for backpacks, coats and briefcases.
  5. Get outside and enjoy the last bits of this season.
  6. Plan any events/holidays for the next couple months.
  7. Clean out your tote bags.

Denise has a great tip: As I read this morning’s newsletter I thought I would share one of my “tips” with you with regards to hairdresser appointment. My husband and I go to the same hairdresser. It was always a pain to schedule appointments for him and me, he would forget to schedule one; I could never get the day/time I wanted when I wanted it for myself. Since both of our schedules are pretty regular (we don’t travel) and I know that I have to get my colour/cut done every 4 weeks, I now schedule the appointments for both of us 6 months at a time. Yup you read correctly. I usually book January to June and in June book July through to December. This way, I can plan the rest of my activities around those appointments and I’m sure to have the right one for Christmas. It also gives my hairdresser some flexibility for her own holiday booking.

My hairdresser told me that she has another client who does the same thing, but 3 months at a time. Hum, and I thought I was original.
