For me, Christmas time is much more hectic for me than Thanksgiving. So for quite a few years we have done Thanksgiving cards instead of Christmas. It’s also nice to be able to say how much we are thankful for our friends and family.
Today was Thanksgiving card making day. My daughter and I get out the scrapbook, stamping, card making supplies. We lay everything out all over the living room. We turn on some of our favorite music (this year was Reliant K, Newsboys, Party of Five soundtrack and David Cook).
Since we make all our cards, most are fairly simple. And I am not an artist at all so I never expect perfection. It’s an easy going, fun time that we look forward to every year.
If I end up getting Christmas cards from new people, I add them to next year’s list and make or give them a Christmas card.
Here’s some of this year’s card that we made:

Very good idea! I love the fact that you rather say: “Thank You” to your loved ones, than sending Christmas Wishes. After all, its a gift in itself!
Great Idea! Also that creates very special memories with your daughter. Great way to get them involved.
Wonderful site. Thanks for the tips!
i love this idea!! your cards are beautiful
