Weekly Simplicity Tips

10.31.2010
This week was a lot of project work and a cold so I was glad when the weekend came. My son bought his first car. He and my husband have been doing repair work on it. I’m always amazed at how much money you can save if you know how to fix things.

As for the calendar for 2011, declutter and organization were just about 1/2 and 1/2, so I decided to have the first 1/2 of the year be decluttering, than the second 1/2 organizing. What you do you think? (post in the comments)

  1. Re-set a boundary with someone or something that has gotten fuzzy.
  2. Create a time daily for quiet time, even if it’s 5 minutes.
  3. Where do you feel hemmed in and not free? Is there anything you can do about that?
  4. Think of all the positive achievements you made recently.
  5. Set up a time to chat with someone you haven’t spoken to in awhile.
  6. Check on your projects – are they making progress? Do you need to drop any for the moment?
  7. Declutter stationary that you no longer like. Maybe someone else would use it.

  • that makes a lot of sense as decluttering is always before organising 🙂

i am amazed at people who can fix things. We are both useless at that so we pay a fortune to others with this gift.

    Would J & J like a visit to South Africa? 😉

I think half and half sounds just great. I’ve just put up this year’s November declutter page as my desktop for the month. 🙂

A great idea. November’s is up on my fridge. What about doing one month declutter and the next orgainising?

Thanks for all the good tips I get everyweek.

    cool!
I’d say one month declutter a room and next month organise it back to efficiency (and luckily less clutter buildup in the nextm onths..)
