Welcome to this week’s issue of Weekly Simplicity Tips. I updated my bio page this week. Anything I missed? I also updated the blog so it can be accessed by mobile phones.

Winter finally came to West Michigan. My husband and I took the Jeep out where none of our other cars could drive.

Weekly Tips

  1. Use rolled up magazines in tall boots so they keep their shape.
  2. Keep a folder or envelope of restaurant coupons in your car, perhaps in a pocket behind a front seat.
  3. Update or create a video inventory of your home.
  4. Drop a project that feels stale to you.
  5. Have a no technology evening where you do things like play the piano, go for a walk, read, start a jigsaw puzzle, or play a family board game. What did people do before TV and computers?
  6. File all those papers in your to file pile.
  7. Notice the beauty that surrounds you today.

Beth, I just love your photos. Your daughter is becoming quite adept and skilled at taking great pictures. I especially enjoyed the winter scenes today. I took a black and white photo class and loved the look of them. Different greys and lights and darks often define the images better than color.
Thanks so much for sharing these and others you have posted for us. I still have the Blue Crane on my desk and everyone who sees it can’t believe it was real.

    Thanks Stacey!

Thank you Maggie – and these Brea actually didn’t take. I took the waterfall one (on manual even LOL) and my husband took the tree one.

    Hi Beth,
Just to let you know how much I am enjoying your declutter calendar. I have managed to keep to it with the exception of sorting fabric! I have such a lot of little bits of fabric it will take me a while to sort so I am taking a leaf from your hints and setting myself smaller steps. I will do it a colour at a time.
    Thanks,
    Heather
