Just a reminder – you are doing fine. So many people have a great life, but don’t realize it. Why? Because they are looking at the few things they feel are sub-par.
You may have a great family, but aren’t happy because there is clutter in your house. You may have a fabulous career, but you have a few extra pounds and hate yourself every time you look in the mirror. You may have a good support system of friends, but feel sad because a couple missed your birthday.
Don’t let your happiness go down the drain because you expect every single part of your life to be perfect. That’s not likely to happen. Sure you can play with improving different areas, but if you are only satisfied with perfection it can be a depressing way to live.
You have a lot on your plate. But, you are doing just fine.
Really.

After yesterday, God knew I needed to hear this. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! This is what was floating around in the back of my mind when I woke up this morning. Thank you for putting it in to words that I can see with my eyes and refer back to. So, evidently I am not the only one who wants EVERY area of my entire life to be perfect. And meanwhile, missing an opportunity to enjoy and celebrate the areas that ARE perfect.
Thank you so much for reminding me of this! Yes, I’m doing fine despite the extra pounds, the silly family disputes and all the work left undone. I didn’t even realised all I needed was to read/hear that in fact we’re fine. Thank god I have work to do, family to be silly with and even the extra pounds. Who cares? You really made my day and set my mind back on track!
I so appreciate these words today. They are comforting to hear and remind me of what is true. Life has been challenging and I’ve been focusing on the negative, instead of the positive.
I’m going to print this out. Thank you, Beth.
Thanks for the reminder. I needed to hear this today. 🙂
