My husband was on second shift (2pm-10pm) for a couple weeks training people. My routine was all messed up. My working was all over the place as was self-care and let’s not talk about the house.
This time was a great reminder of why a regular rhythm is so important to your life. Without it, many of the maintenance items are hit or miss.
Without a regular day to vacuum, it may go three weeks without you realizing it. Without an exercise schedule you may think you are exercising more than you are. Without a routine, there never seems to be time for dishes, laundry, packing lunches or making the bed.
I feel much more grounded when I begin my day with exercise and quiet time. Life is chaotic enough.
