Being with the Ones You Love

A top reason people want to simplify their lives is to spend time with people they love. When all you do is rush to work, to errands, to kid’s activities, to evening meetings there isn’t much time to just be with people.

And people can sense how hurried you are. They feel you are not fully there for them. At the end of your life are you going to be patting yourself on the back about how "successful" you were. Or are you going to wish you had spent more time with your family and friends.

What activities can you cut out so you can be with the people you care about?

funny thing is…if the people I want to spend time with dont also cut back & make time to spend together, then i wind up having free time to spend with…no one…theyre all busy!!
time to start a declutter your calendar movement!

at 67 and having quit working i am happily figuring out what i want to do when i grow up! I’m finding mostly it’s spending time with my husband, kids and grandkids. i am also wanting to put together a family history.

I second that idea Robin! We are going counter cultural when we start simplifying.

Lois, this is so exciting – I am glad you have this time with your family.
