I’ve had a very fun, social past two weeks. Lunch with friends, book club, parents and grandparents from out of town visited, my in-laws came to visit with our nephews, swimming with family, a long, long call with my favorite cousin, pampering time at church during the Woman’s Expo, taught the first day of Sunday School, visited with my new Mary Kay lady, had a friend over for lunch at my house and the kids have had friends over just about every day.
Though it was fun, I can tell I need a little recharging before I get back out into the social scene. I need some quiet time to journal, read and relax. I plan on doing that tomorrow.

What a fun weekend! Saturday was my son’s soccer game. We also did some family cleaning and got a lot of to do’s checked off. Sunday we relaxed. At church we had meet the teacher day so I got to meet about 14 of my kindergarteners. After church we had a grandparents day pig roast and picnic at the park. Food, pies (tons of them!), games, hay ride, hymn sing and talking. My in-laws joined us.
Then they stopped by afterwards and we brought out chairs to sit under the trees and talk some more.
We prepared for the week when they left. Once the kids left we sat outside in the chairs to watch our lighted fountain in the dark.

Today was a gorgeous day. I walked my daughter to and from school today. After school I said there is no way we can stay inside so we took off to the park. My son and I were seeing who could go highest on the swings.

We had a great time this week doing some landscaping. I love taking an area that isn’t looking great and transforming it! Now the area has flowers, edging, a fountain and a lovely mosaic birdbath. After my husband and I finished it, the kids joined us sitting on our chairs, viewing our accomplishment and talking about future plans.
