We just got back from camping, and before we even sit down everything is emptied from the truck. Before bed, the suitcases, tote bags and toiletries are put away as laundry is started.
We can also do this every time we leave the car, after work, after shopping, after kid’s activities, after school, etc.
Do a little mental checklist…
- Is garbage taken out of the vehicle?
- Did I bring in all the shopping bags?
- Are clothes and towels brought in to be washed?
- Did you bring in your exercise equipment? (OK, I will bring in my yoga mat)
- Have wipes in the car to clean off sticky spills
- Is there anything I can bring in, that doesn’t belong in the car? So you don’t have to clean your vehicle out all at once. Bring in something extra each time you leave it when you get home.
Once you have everything in the house, be sure to put the items away that day or they will stay in a pile for who knows how long.
