Organizing in a Small Space

My daughter gifted me a set-up for the little end table in our living room. We both have laptops in that room and they were stacked on top of each other. I also have a tendency to put items on the couch arms. This is the first couch we’ve had with curved arms so that doesn’t go well. I keep forgetting that things I put on the arms, slide down and get eaten by the couch. At least once a day I was looking for something in the couch cushions.

My daughter, with less tolerance for things like that, bought me an organizer for that area.

We can now stack our laptops with a table in between. I have slots on the side for my mouse, ear buds, glasses and our pens. She is storing paperwork in progress in one slot.

The baby monitor slips into a slot in the back with a cookbook my daughter is experimenting with. Charging cords are held in place and I can charge my tablet, earbuds, phone or other little items and let them stay on the slots.

And there are drawers for her earbuds, my grandson’s visual timer, chapstick, sticky notes, more charger cords, and a couple of my grandson’s little toys.

She also got a mini table that stores our water cups so nothing accidentally spills on the electronics.

And anything that didn’t fit in the organizer was decluttered or put into my office.

Do you have a small space that you are using to do multiple action? Can you declutter, use an organizer, or use containers already in your house to organize?
