At the end of the year, I like to do a little tech cleanup when work is less intense. That way I feel a fresh start in January. This is what I did this week while listening to some winter jazz:
- Craving calm, I created simpler backgrounds for my phone and my tablet.
- Found on my notifications a Calm section, so I updated my notification sounds.
- Removed a bunch of apps from my tablet and phone
- It’s so annoying, but often when I update apps I have to turn off notifications again. So I turned off many notifications. Others were set to silent notifications, so they pop up and I can look at them when I am ready.
- Caught up on emails
- Organized my apps
- Started to clean out my computer downloads folder. Haven’t finished that yet.
- Deleted old text messages
- Cleared off my out of control computer desktop. Plus put in a new winter desktop I made in Canva.

What is one tech clean up you can do before the new year?

I read about your daughter’s cookbook project. It would be fun to attend a workshop on something like that. My daughter has requested a family one for the past three years for Christmas
(maybe longer!)
